The brief
Where we started
Ronin Project came to us with a strong existing visual identity — bold, disciplined, samurai-inspired — but no website that lived up to it. They needed a digital home for their trading education academy that felt like an exclusive dojo, not a generic course-selling funnel.
Translate Ronin's bold offline brand identity into a cinematic on-brand website
Build a curriculum + instructor structure that establishes authority before the pitch
Convert visitors into enrolled students without resorting to hype-driven sales tactics
The challenge
What we were up against
Trading education is a trust-deficit category — the market is flooded with 'get rich quick' gurus, and Ronin needed to visually and structurally separate itself from that noise from the first scroll. The brand already had a bold, disciplined identity built around precision and mastery, but their existing web presence read like every other course-seller: stock testimonials, countdown timers, aggressive pop-ups.
The bigger challenge was information architecture — Ronin's curriculum has real depth (technical analysis, risk management, psychology, live trading sessions) and the site needed to communicate that depth without turning into a wall of text, while still building toward a confident enrollment decision.

What was at stake
If the site felt like just another trading course funnel, Ronin would compete purely on price and hype — exactly the crowd they were trying to rise above.
Our approach
How we tackled it
Every section was mapped back to Ronin's existing offline identity rather than introducing anything foreign to it.
Step 1
Brand Immersion
We studied Ronin's existing visual system — the samurai motif, the red-and-black palette, the disciplined typography — and mapped every website section back to that identity instead of introducing anything foreign to it.
Step 2
Curriculum Architecture
We restructured the course content into a clear three-pillar system (Technical Mastery, Risk Discipline, Trading Psychology) so visitors could grasp the academy's depth in under 30 seconds.
Step 3
Cinematic Section Design
Full-bleed dark sections with scroll-triggered reveals give the site a movie-trailer pacing — each section builds tension toward the enrollment CTA rather than front-loading the pitch.
Step 4
Development & Localization
Built in a component-driven front end with English localization in place, structured for additional languages as Ronin expands into new markets.
The solution
The work, up close
The final site opens with a bold brand statement hero, then moves through a curriculum breakdown, instructor credentials with real trading track records, student results, and a clear enrollment path — each section using the same disciplined dark palette and sharp typography as Ronin's offline brand.
Rather than the typical 'everything above the fold' course-page approach, we paced the page like a film: brand statement first, proof of substance second, social proof third, offer last. Section transitions use subtle motion so the scroll itself feels deliberate and controlled — mirroring the trading discipline Ronin teaches.
Three-Pillar Curriculum Map
Forty-plus hours of course content distilled into a single scannable framework, so prospective students understand the academy's depth before ever clicking 'enroll.'
Instructor Credibility Blocks
Real trading track records and credentials presented with data, not just headshots and adjectives — building trust for an audience that's used to being lied to.
Cinematic Scroll Pacing
Section-by-section reveals paced like a trailer, holding attention through a content-heavy page without ever feeling like a wall of text.
Design details
Under the hood
Typography
A condensed, high-contrast display face for headlines paired with a clean grotesk for body copy — echoing the precision of Ronin's offline brand materials.
Color palette
Components
A reusable section-transition system (12 components) built once and reused across curriculum, instructor, and results pages.
Responsive design
Mobile scroll pacing was re-timed independently from desktop — cinematic reveals that work at 60fps on a laptop were simplified to standard fade-ins on mobile to protect performance.
The results
What it delivered
5-week turnaround from brief to launch
3-pillar curriculum framework replacing a 40+ hour content wall
Bilingual-ready architecture for future market expansion
Cinematic scroll system built as 12 reusable components
Ronin now has a web presence that matches the seriousness of its offline brand — visitors spend longer on page, and the curriculum-first structure pre-qualifies students before they ever reach the enrollment form.
