The brief
Where we started
Zendure sells sophisticated plug-in home energy storage systems across multiple European markets. They needed an e-commerce site that could handle a deep technical catalog, multi-currency pricing, and regional content while staying approachable to non-technical homeowners.
Make a technically complex product catalog easy to browse for first-time solar-storage buyers
Support multi-region (EU/UK/France/Germany) store switching without duplicating design effort
Build trust signals appropriate for a significant home-energy purchase decision
The challenge
What we were up against
Zendure sells sophisticated solar energy storage systems across multiple European markets. They needed a website that could handle a deep, technical product catalog, multi-currency pricing, regional content, and heavy media — while still feeling clean and trustworthy to someone making a meaningful home-energy investment.
Solar storage products involve genuine technical complexity — battery capacity, inverter compatibility, expansion modules — and the site had to make that complexity navigable for homeowners who are motivated by saving money and going green, not by technical specs alone.
4
regional storefronts (EU, UK, France, Germany) unified under one product and design system
What was at stake
An e-commerce site that buried products in specs, or one that oversimplified to the point of hiding compatibility information, would either lose technical buyers or create costly post-purchase compatibility issues.
Our approach
How we tackled it
We mapped how products, expansion modules, and accessories relate to each other so a comparison tool could prevent incompatible purchases.
Step 1
Catalog & Compatibility Mapping
We mapped how products, expansion modules, and accessories relate to each other so a comparison tool could prevent customers from buying incompatible combinations.
Step 2
Mega-Menu Navigation Design
Rich mega-menus organize the deep product catalog by use case (home backup, off-grid, expansion) rather than forcing customers to already know product model numbers.
Step 3
Education-First Content
A blog and comparison-tool layer educates first-time buyers on solar storage basics before they hit a product page, reducing purchase hesitation.
Step 4
Multi-Region Store Architecture
Regional store switching (EU/UK/France/Germany) was built on Shopify's multi-region tooling, sharing one design system across all four storefronts.
The solution
The work, up close
The full-featured Shopify store includes a product catalog with a compatibility/comparison tool, mega-menu navigation, customer reviews, an educational blog, support integration, and multi-region (EU/UK/France/Germany) store switching — SEO-optimized and built for high conversion.
The green-on-dark palette reinforces the clean-energy brand while keeping product photography and technical diagrams legible — a deliberate departure from the bright, generic 'eco' visual clichés common in the category.
Compatibility-Aware Product Catalog
A comparison tool that flags module and accessory compatibility up front, reducing costly post-purchase returns for a technically complex product line.
Use-Case-Led Mega-Menu
Navigation organized by what a customer wants to accomplish (home backup, off-grid, expansion) rather than by model number, serving first-time buyers as well as returning customers.
Native Multi-Region Storefronts
Four regional storefronts share one design system, letting Zendure manage currency, language, and regional content without design drift between markets.
